The blog starts here.
What can I say. It's not that I'm completely resistant to change, because I'm often the one pushing for change. The main reason I've been dragging my feet and the thing that still causes some concern is the issue of privacy. What are the boundaries between sharing personal thoughts and divulging personal information. It's not even just a matter of myself, but also those in my life. What will my opinion be someday when my children decide they want to keep their own blog? I've certainly set a precedent. Is it really so different from my days in high school when I ran a dial-up bulletin board service from my personal computer? Sharing messages, e-mails and files. It was readily available to hundreds of users. I think the difference comes in the scale. Rather than hundreds of people viewing it, this could be viewed by millions.
What inspires people to post their most personal thoughts on the web for everyone to read?
Over and out!
